The IB will aim to teach your child to:

Students are encouraged to develop independent learning and critical thinking skills which prepare them for higher education and employment. The courses span a range of subject areas (as shown in the curriculum framework diagram), so that the IB can achieve its goal of providing “a package of education that balances subject breadth and depth.” As well as English and mathematics, students must study a second language, a science and a social science. For their sixth choice, students must choose either an arts subject or study an additional language, science or social science.

IB students complete assessment tasks in school and take written exams at the end of the programme.

Each subject is scored out of 7 and the Extended Essay in combination with the TOK (Theory of Knowledge) is marked out of a maximum of 3. The final IB Diploma is then scored out of a total of 45 points with a grade of 24 and above required for an actual IB Diploma.
